Kurt Cobain's disdain for the machinery of the music industry is legendary. Case in point: At the height of the band's popularity and artistic achievement, Nirvana invited members of the Meat Puppets to join them for their cover-filled Unplugged session. The resulting "Lake of Fire" (and other covers from the session) would emerge as some of the band's most memorable moments and cement them as one of the most important bands of their generation.
